Additional customization options in terms of the button sizes and designs are also available. You can also configure the time toolbar and customize the full screen buttons separately.
All you have to do is go to Tools > Customize Interface.įrom the customize interface or Toolbars Editor option you can drag the individual buttons around, add new buttons and remove the ones that you don’t need. Additionally, you can even change the position of all the control button set in-regards to where it shows up in the player. You can also change the position of the individual buttons. You can easily change where the play, pause, stop, next, previous and other video/audio control buttons are placed. once you get the toolbars reset, I highly recommend saving a new Toolbar profile & call it "VLC Default" (why are the default Toolbars not ALREADY a default profile?), once saved, also backup the file %AppData%\vlc\vlc-qt-interface.ini somewhere else.When it comes to VLC, a lot is customizable in terms of the minimally present user interface. Delete %AppData%\vlc\vlc-qt-interface.ini to reset all prefs (including the toolbars) to default ( not recommended).Carefully edit %AppData%\vlc\vlc-qt-interface.ini to reset the Toolbars to default (I'll post more info if I find it).
In Tools ► Customize Interface., select a profile & see if any of them "do what you want".In my version, "VLC 1.1.x Style" seems to be "my default".but I've never customized my toolbar. There are profiles, & you can select one of those, which might contain defaults, but no guarantee.
It appears that a combination of "Line 1" & "Advanced Widget toolbar" determine what appears under the "Advanced Controls".unfortunately, it doesn't appear there is a simple, built-in way to reset just the Toolbars.
